welcome in the house of colours
My name is Annette* Akkerman (1962). I live with my husband and two children in a small town in the centre of the Netherlands.
In 2003, I started painting as a a hobby, next to my work and other interests. Since then it became more and more important for me. Most paintings are done with acrylics. I also like to (re-)use waste materials I find somewhere.
Besides abstract art, some figurative subjects often find their way into my paintings, like birds and trees.
Usually I don't have to think of a subject to paint. Inspiration is found everywhere, which then finds its way onto the canvas. I also like to try new things, therefore my collection is quite diverse.
